Color can set the tone for a room or space, making it seem warm and relaxing or active and exhilarating. Color can also influence your mood and impact your energy level.
In a well-designed space, colors will complement or intentionally contrast, but never clash. All of the colors will work well together, creating a sense of order and harmony, not dissonance.
Interior design colors tend to fall into two categories, warm tones and cool tones. Warm interior design colors are: red, orange, and yellow. Cool interior design tones include blue, green, and purple.

Just ask anyone who has had some part of a design project turn out “not quite right,” and, more than likely, it’s because the colors were off somewhere.
